Refusal of Re-use Licence Applications
As the Central Office of Information is a member of the Information Fair Trader Scheme (IFTS), it is committed to open and transparent dealings in regard to the licensing of its materials. On occasions it will not be possible to allow materials to be licensed and in that case enquirers are entitled to an explanation for this refusal.
Reasons for refusing an application may include one or more of the following:
- Material not available under the Freedom of Information Act (FOI)
- Material for which COI does not own the full rights.
- Live campaign material.
- Material content covered by the Data Protection Act.
